Portland Place School has opened a contemporary new restaurant, as part of its wider investment strategy to upgrade and develop its recreational and amenity space.
The Marylebone-based school is now able to supply healthy, delicious meals on-site thanks to its new, bright purpose-built dining room. Previously lunch provision was supplied by locally based eateries and delis.
Pupils will be treated to nutritious menu options including scrumptious and sophisticated main course dishes such as Pulled Brisket Beef Ragu with Pasta, Oven Baked Catch of the Day with Tartare Sauce & Lemon, and Lamb Keema with Mini Poppadums & Riata.
Headmaster at Portland Place School, David Bradbury commented: “Our students are delighted with their inviting new space, and the meals on offer. We wanted to create a welcoming and sociable area, with wide-ranging food provision, and we have done just that.
“The feedback has been very positive indeed, and we are seeing lots of clean plates!”
Portland Place School is a leading independent co-educational school for children aged 10-16, located directly in the heart of the City of Westminster. It was founded with a particular purpose in mind: to be an alternative to the intense, large, examinations focused independent day schools of which there are many in London.
The school ethos is to be small, nurturing and be relaxed, encouraging and enabling those who attend to achieve their very best academically, with space to develop and express their creativity and athleticism.
