On Tuesday 4th December 2018, Portland Place School opened its doors to host the annual Christmas Concert at the RADA studio, the event comprised a variety of musical acts including school bands, soloists and ensembles including The PPS Percussion Ensemble, PPS Woodwind Emsemble, PPS Jazz Band, PPS Chamber Choir, PPS Boys Choir and PPS Choir.
The event included joyful renditions of Christmas music such as 'Jingle Bells' and 'All On A Slient Night', there were many highlights, including the Portland Place Boys Choirs who performed a fantastic arrangement of ‘California Dreaming', Lana Tuite from Year 7 who sung a solo rendition of ‘O Holy Night' and lastly, Joe Ahrens from Year 13, a trumpeter who performed an exciting solo performance of ‘A Sorrowful Memory’.
It was a wonderfully festive evening enjoyed by staff, students and parents. Thank you to all who attended and well done to all our very talented performers.
